ON CIKFIACHAMPIONSHIP.COM AND CIKFIA.TV, STARTING FROM 10:25AM, THE LIVE STREAMING OF THE CIK-FIA EUROPEAN CHAMPS LAST ROUND.

KRISTIANSTAD READY TO AWARD THE TITLES.

Kart racing fans are eager to know the names of the new European Champions. The last round of the CIK-FIA European Championship is taking place in Kristianstad (S): the categories involved are the OK, OK Junior, KZ and KZ2. Nothing certain yet, not even after today’s Heats, which were won by many different drivers. A light rain, which grew in intensity during the afternoon, alternate to the sun made the outcome of the races even more uncertain. Don’t miss tomorrow’s appointment from 10:25am, when the remaining seven Heats and all the Final will be streamed live cikfia.tv and cikfiachampionship.com. The highlights of the races which will award the European title will be broadcast in the special TV report on Motorsport during the following week.

ATTACK TO THE LEADER IN OK.
Six are the drivers who managed to win at least a Heat in the OK. Among them, there is not the current Championship leader, the Moroccan Sami Taoufik (FA Kart-Vortex-Le Cont), who anyway managed to score good results. The hunt for the title is still very uncertain, with still two Heats remaining to establish the starting grid of the Final. Two victories went to the Swedish Noah Milel (Kosmic-Vortex) and the Italian Lorenzo Travisanutto (Zanardi-Parilla), while the Norwegian Dennis Hauger (CRG-Parilla), the Spanish Pedro Hiltbrand, the British Finlay Keanelly (both on Tony Kart-Vortex) and the Polish Karol Basz (Kosmic-Vortex) won a Heat each).

THOMPSON DOMINATES IN OKJ.
The English Harry Thompson (FA Kart-Vortex-Vega) did his best to gain the ideal position to compete for the title. After yesterday’s victory, he succeeded twice today and he is now the driver to beat for the pole position of the Final. The Australian Jack Doohan (FA Kart-Vortex) and the German Hugo Sasse (CRG-Parilla) won twice, while the current Championship leader, the English Jonny Edgar (Exprit-TM-Vega), scored two third positions. Sasse was penalized in one of the Heats he won, so the victory went to the French Jules Mettetal (Kosmic-Parrilla). Tomorrow morning the remaining two Heats before a Final which is going to be as heated as ever.

KREMERS AND HAJEK WINNERS IN KZ.
Even though the title has been already awarded to Paolo De Conto (CRG-TM-Bridgestone), the KZ drivers were however eager to give all they could, with the Dutch Marijn Kremers (BirelArt-TM) and the Czech Patrik Hajek (Kosmic-Vortex) who won a heat each. De Conto wanted to show he deserved the title he won last round and, despite the troubles he had in Qualifying made him drop back to the last slot on the grid, he recovered and finished both his Heats in third position.

LOTS OF DRIVERS CAN AIM AT VICTORY IN KZ2.

In KZ2, too, there were lots of different winners in the Heats. The French Tom Leuillet (Sodi-TM-Bridgestone) and the two Italian drivers Francesco Celenta (Praga-TM) and Riccardo Longhi (Birel Art-TM) won twice, while their fellow countrymen, Matteo Viganò and Alessio Piccini (both Tony Kart-Vortex) won a Heat each. The current leader, the German Leon Koheler (Tony Kart-Vortex), didn’t put in a great performance and tomorrow he’ll need to recover if he wants to win the title.
